Does anyone have an idea what is a reasonable amount to charge for the installation of aero brake levers and bar end shifters on an old road bike. I am supplying all the parts. I do live around New York City which tends to be more expensive.

If you supply cable and housing, and bar tape plus all parts, I'd say it's a 1/2 hour job. Maybe 20 bucks? Personally, I'd just do it myself, it is pretty easy. Even if you have never done it before.

I don't think that you'll find a shop that will do it for $20.00 labor cost. Basically you're talking about doing a minor tune up plus the parts install plus a bar rewrap. I'd guess around $50.00 to $60.00 here in St. Louis. You're better qualified than me to factor in the New York COLA.
