If I havn't had enough problems with my brakes already, one of my front V-Brake pads has decided it wont 'toe' in corretly. When I start tightening the nut, the pad starts to even its self out, then toe in the wrong way! I am virtually at a stage where i'm pulling the pad to stop it toeing the wrong way...but in the end, it gets the better of me.

The washers and the pad are all how there supposed to be, so I cant figure this one out. Any suggestions?

Try wraping a rubber band around the side that is being toed and then crank on the bolts

Yep, i've tried that. NO luck. It just seems to want to push the other way for some reason?

Put a piece of cardboard under the heel of the pad (opposite end of the toe), crank down on the brake lever and tighten the nut. You can use more than one thickness of cardboard to achieve the proper amount of space.

This not only holds the pad in place it also aligns the pad face w/ the rim.
