Hey folks...I have been looking for a while to get some good quality Japanese Keirin races on DVD...Most sites are not in English so I haven't been able to really find anything...

Have any of you guys seen some good DVD's around? Please let me know.

Thanks!
Rob

Japanese Keirin races are held in Japan for a Japanese audience and likely aren't shown outside of Japan. Why would they have an English commentator? It's about the betting, not the racing. I understand your point. I just don't think you'll find what you're looking for.

i don't care what language it's in, the google ones aren't a very clear picture. we're having an event as part of our festival and want to show some...please let me know if you find any...whatever the language of commentator!

I'm training with pros here from time to time... I'll see what I can find. If you don't mind Japanese commentary than it shouldn't be a problem

Hey Bobby, whereabouts in Japan are you? I'm in west Tokyo, I train at Kawasaki, Shonan and Keiokaku. It would be cool to run into another gaijin someday.

Hey Dave,

I'm in Kansai so have trained at Nara and Kishiwada Keirin-jos and train weekly at Kansai Cycle Sports Centre. My coach is the former National track coach (also only Japanese to have been on track and road teams at the same time) and I train with the coach from the Keirin school when my job schedule allows (don't worry, I feel suitably lucky).

Would love to train up the some time! Who do you train with?

Wow dude, you've got it good!

I have no formal coaching. I just ride with three different clubs that run at three different tracks. Mostly practice races, very very fun. We generally never train with the pros, but once in a while one will jump in just for fun. No coach, but one of the guys who is an organizer is a former road pro who also rode in some six-days in europe. His name is Yoshii Kouji. Very fast dude.

If you're ever in Kanto send me a PM, there's usually a track opportunity every weekend here.
