Louisiana Bicycle Festival Sunday, JUNE 19, 2005
Father's Day in Abita Springs 10 AM - 2PM Abita Springs
Our The first festival was in 2000. Some people claim our festival is the largest custom bicycle festival in the country.
It is certainly a lot of fun.
Come see, exhibit, and ride homebuilt, vintage and custom bicycles. All bicycles types were welcome.
The festival includes Festival Food, Bicycle Parade, Bicycle Garage Sale, and Bicycle Competitions.
Sponsors for past festivals have included the Abita Springs Business Association, Abita Brewery, Walmart, 3G Bikes, BikeRod&Kustom, Firebikes and the UCM Museum, Miller High Life.
Over 400 bike enthusiasts attended last years festival.
And it is all FREE - no registration money, no nothing. Prizes will be given out for the competitors.
In the past, prize categories included: / Original Pre 1940 / Original 1940 - 1960 / Original Post 1960 / Restored Pre 1940 / Restored 1940 - 1960 / Restored Post 1960 / Custom/Decorated/Novelty / Art from Bikes or Bike Parts / Best in Show. HOWEVER the categories change sometimes.
So come to the fesitval and have fun. The parade will be around noon.
