I went to the driving range with my gf this weekend and anyway, we have these small bags designed to carry a couple of drivers or irons. Hers makes her look like she's carrying a rifle. Since my clubs are longer, it sticks out like a foot above my head and about a foot over to my left. I noticed for the first time, cars actually giving me half to a full car width when passing. A few cars even went all the way over to the other side of the road on 2-way roads. It was the safest I've ever felt in my life.

Are you using one of those "Sunday Bags" or is it some kind of cool thing mounted to your frame? I've been trying to find a good way to do what you describe, carry a few sticks to the range on my bike, but haven't come up with any thing real practical yet.

Yeah, this is the exact same one I have:
http://www.golfbagplace.com/rjdesugobag.html

It's big enough for my massive 460cc (yeah i know i suck) driver, 3 driver, and 3 and 5 irons. If you wrap the grips together with a sheet of aluminium foil, it'll look even scarier to drivers, like a sharp, jagged metal object ready to destroy their paint job.

All you have to do is adjust it so that it's slightly snug and wear it like a messenger bag, it's actually real comfortable. As long as I don't get in the drops, heh, I have no intention of playing joust with cars.

Thank you both for the info! I sent an e-mail to the golfATV guy, I like the idea of being allowed to "ride" the course in true fashion, but I must confess, I prefer to walk, it's more casual that way.

slvoid: No worries about the 460cc driver, even Tiger uses one of those. I would too, if I had $$ to blow on yet another golf club!
