Hi there,
I took up road riding three years ago. My family enjoy riding together in our rural community. I have done a few organised rides (150 - 160kms around a prominant mountain or lake) and taken part in our local Multisport event as Road Rider or Mountainbike Rider.
I bought an old bike until I found a new bike that I liked. My present bike is a 2003 Avanti Monza Compact frame Road bike. With the Sora shifters and clip-in shoes, I find I can climb all of the local hills.
There is a real kinship among bike riders and this is something that I really value.
Look forward to using this forum. Cjhad.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
