spoke, spoke...I AM YOUR FATHER! :D
Heh, just watched star wars: episode 3 tonight... awesome movie.
Now to see how much it will cost to convert my videos for 4, 5, and 6 to DVDs...menus and all. I refuse to hook a VCR up to my HT setup....I don't have room for it!
Done, just buy them...
There is no point to resist... it is Y o u r destiny!

The DVDs are all lucas's "Improved" versions. I don't want improved....I want the ones I grew up with.
I had that set once...I burnt it once I realized it was impure.
Just play the VHS tapes through a video camera and capture it on to your computer. Then with appropriate software (DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro HD for Mac users) turn the video files into DVDs. Of course the audio will not be great as VCRs only output L & R channels. It won't be 5.1 surround.
You will end up with a reasonable DVD with stereo sound which (in theory) should be converted to Pro-Logic via an amp.
CHEERS.
