Hey, have any of you heard of (or hopefully own) a Tom Teesdale custom trike (http://www.tetcycles.com/Trikes/trikes.html)?
I found his website in my neverending search for the best value in a trike, and it looks like he'll build a custom frame for $1400. This price includes everything but the standard bike components (wheels, derailleur, cranks, etc) which you then supply and add yourself.
This seems like a great deal, since the frame is custom-made for the rider by an experienced fabricator. You can add whatever components you want, from Tiagra to 105, all on sale from Nashbar (heh). The trikes he makes don't weigh too much (the Racer model is less than 30lbs) either.
So I'm just wondering if anyone owns or has read any reviews on his trikes (or bikes, he builds those too). I'd want to know how they hold up to use, how they steer, how fast they are and how they handle high speeds (say, 45mph down a hill).
This seems like a great opportunity to own a quality trike without the exorbitant price. Maybe he could even build a Windcheetah replica for me.... Oooooooh! ;)
