So did anybody watch?
I found it to be interesting when they pieced the signal light back together and a paint chip. That had 3 colors on it. maroon and white with pin strip black. They found the part number on the lens. Then brought the parts and numbers to a dodge dealership. They where able to narrow the search down to a late model Dodge van.
They ran another news story in the paper.
Then received a tip from a women. Stating that she had been drinking at a bar with a person that drives a Dodge van with the same colors. She could not even recall how many beers this guy drank.
The investigators, Arrive at this guys house and his windows are black out. They become suspicious and They visit his work place, Oh Boy, It's a car recycling yard. ( No hope now right)
They received a search warrant for the said individual. Bonus! They found the dodge van in the mid stream repair. They carefully search his residents and found one small piece of reflector, Under a pile of newspapers on his work bench.
They were able to slide the pieces together under a microscope. It was a perfect match.
The sad part is he only received 4 years for what he did. Running a cyclist down.
The one part I hate about this show. Is they show a cyclist riding with no lights or reflective gear all dressed in black and give no mention about it.

The show really wasn't about the victim, it was about how they caught the guy that hit him. As for the no lights etc bit they went with the information they had as the crime scene photos showed no such items
