Introductions - I'm baaaaack.... north of Detroit

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
After doing three across-Michigan long distance bike rides in 2003 only to tear my rotator cuff at the end of the season in a spill and miss most of last year... I'm back and training again for this year's Michigander.
The butt may be sore, I may be Clydesdale that looks like a stuffed sausage in Spandex, but at 59, I'm glad to be back... even shopping for a new bike as I get back in shape. Paint Creek Trail from Rochester to Lake Orionis my most frequent training route, with side jaunts through the Bald Mountain State Recreation Area.

Hi Mike, glad to have you back. I've read many of your columns. Although I can't remember the name of it, my daughter bought the little camera that fits into an Altoids box that you recommended (probably over a year ago). She even bought a little tripod. I was visiting my sister who lives on Zukey Lake a couple of days ago and the Michigander was cycling through the area. I am always up and down with my weight. Don't give up, it will only get worse. I just saw your post in the touring section and read your blog a bit and realized who you were.
Thanks for the note... and the encouragment.
I'm back bigtime... 125-130 miles a week now. Weight starting to drop. But feeling great... even doing 25 at STony Creek this morning in the humidity.
