Recently read the following lines by George Carlin:

America is a nation of "taller buildings but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more but have less; we have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences but less time; more knowledge but less judgment."

Do you agree? Seems like a good reason to go for a bike ride to me. But then, everything does:

Compared to what?

His newest book "When will Jesus bring the porkchops" is great. It has alot of new thoughts and a couple of old ones thrown in for good measure.

Carlin is for thought provoking amusement. Agreement or disagreement is unimportant.

Yes it is. You got what you want, now go down the hallway.

I like Carlins old stuff better than his new stuff. Back when he was class clown rather than grumpy old man. Bill Hicks still sets the benchmark for 'the comedy of hate' for me, and Carlin doesn't even come close.

No, down the hallway is abuse, arguing is around the corner.

I was blown away to find out that Bill Hicks had passed away in 1994. :(
His HBO One Night Stand was hilarious.

It's "being hit on the head" lessons in here. (probably applies more to the BMX forum) Put your hand there.

I drifted away from Carlin when I first heard Lenny Bruce, and realized where so much of Carlin's material came from.

No, arguing is here, they got their fill, and I'm sending them off for some abuse.

Someone needs to learn about urban geography.
