I have an old trek 800 antelope frame that I want to build up to a semi - cross bike. I have a sore triple crankset and shifters and need a bottom bracket, but not sure what size to buy. The shell is 3 inches and i had an old dura ace BB but it was a bit too long. Any suggestions would help?

Maybe it's a 73mm shell.Maybe you need to remeasure.

remeasure in mm not inches so you dont have to convert. BB are done by mm so it makes sense to work in that measuring system throughout.
