They're both around $900.

Which do you guys/gals recommend and why?

Care to send some of that spare money my way? lol

There are an awful lot of decent freeride bikes in that price range.. I take it you looked in the freeride hardtail sticky, and narrowed it down to those 2?

That being said, I would go with the Stuff. I think it comes with nicer parts, but it kind of depends what you'll do with it... the Kona would probably be better for trail riding than the Specialized.

BTW, did you sell your Pista? If so, why?

Yeah, I sold my Pista because I have really been getting into riding a mountain bike again. I sold my Allez and Pista and I'm keeping my LeMond for rides up to Nyack. My brother is going to buy my Hardrock.

Since I bought the Hoss I haven't wanted to ride anything else, it's such an awesome bike, so I'm thinking of what my next bike is going to be.

I got into riding a road bike because I wanted to go faster than I could on a mountain bike (I used to have a Rockhopper), but then I realized I was still really slow on a road bike and I kept messing up my wheels because I'm over 200lbs, and I could ride a lot harder on a hardtail (like jumping up and down things and bunny hopping curbs and stuff like that).

Anyway, I'm saving up to get 1 more bike this year and I'm also going to Europe for my birthday this summer (considering how the French voted down the EU Constitution this weekend, the exchange rate should be pretty good) :) Sorry I can't send you any $$.
