Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

This past weekend I dug out my childhood bike. I want to find out more about this bike. It was made by Raleigh, and has a logo on the chain guard, "Rampar". It has 20" wheels, fenders, a black oblong seat, coaster brakes, and is single speed. It has kind of an aqua blue paint finish. I called it a dirt bike when I was a kid, but I guess it could be referred to in other ways. Can anyone point me in a good direction for finding more info about this bike? I am thinking about refurbishing it, and want to establish some kind of a value and history for the bike before I jump in and do anything with it.

I'd suggest reposting in the "Classic and Vintage" section. Some of those guys are scary smart.

Makes sense...is there a way to move this thread? Or, should I re-post. Yesterday when I wrote this, I didn't notice that category...thanks.
