Have you considered a sticky in General Cycling for customer service rants? There are a lot of them and they are almost all the same (including, unfortunately, the one I started last year). Having one thread would help keep the rest of the forums uncluttered.
And yes, I know you have to watch "sticky creep." If you create too many, the forum will be nothing but stickies.
We have. We're going to do something. Stay tuned.

are we going to have a dumb customer rant so
the LBS staff here can at least defend themselves?
I don't like the idea of this, we already have too much
LBS bashing, I think its ok to post bad experiences, it happens
to all of us, but a sticky will just encourage more whinging and
moaning.
Specific incidents indicated by the thread title sometimes attract my attention and a response. I am certain that a sticky thread on rants would be a place I would avoid entirely.
I agree that moving about and pushing buttons on a mouse is an anerobic activity near the lactate threshold, but unless you come up with a way to create a sticky or forum category, for that matter, which contains things of interest only to me, I'd just as soon continue my mouse workouts.
We have. We're going to do something. Stay tuned.

Lotek,
This is why I think the rant thread would be a good idea. I think it would decrease, not increase, the number and visibility of the rants. Having the bike lane and helmet stickies has certainly cut down on the number of threads on those topics.
Edit: And also, Lotek, are you saying there are no "stupid customer" rants in the Industry Related Private Forum?
