I'm looking at getting a Kona JTS for commuting and I want to be able to do weekend group rides and centuries. Is it feasible to get a set of road wheels and just swap them out? What should I look at?
Thanks in advance.

Sure, that is what I do. I have a spare set of wheels with slicks and a 12-25 cassette. Works great.

just check the rear spacing (some cross bikes use a 135 mtn bike axle standard). otherwise, no reason not to just swap road wheels.
