Hi All,
I recently moved to Temple, Tx. and decided to start riding to work as much as possible, after about ten years of not riding. I will be starting my Emergency Medicine residency in July, and I want to intergrate some excercise into my daily routine. There may not be much other time. I just purchased a Specialized Expedition (? a comfort bike?). The ergos seem to fit my 6'6" frame pretty well.
It looks like I will have about an 11 mile round trip commute daily, and I have already learned a great deal from perusing the forums.
I also have a circa 1994 Schwinn High Plains, that I have been dragging around with me since I stopped riding, it was my previous commuting bike. I have found that the bike (couldn't be me  ) ergonomics have changed over the last ten years and I cannot tolerate as much weight on my wrists and lower back. I think that I will strip it down and use it as a trail bike. I need to find some trails though.
Great site; Thanks for all of the info that I have already gathered, and will probably gain in the future. I hope that i can learn enough to contribute as well.
