I have Shimano LX shifters and a XT rear derailler. I'm thinking of getting a Race Face Turbine crankset. I would get a XT crankset but they make to much noise like my LX crankset and it drives me crazy. My question is: will the Shimano shifters and delrailler be compatible with the Race Face crankset. Will it not shift right or will it be OK?
thanks for the help!!!
Your rear derailer isnt directly related to the crankset. Ideally if you have the front derailer setup properly then any crankset will do. Just be sure it matches your BB spindle type.

Just be sure it matches your BB spindle type. I've done this on a couple of bikes. It's no big deal. Just to elaborate a little the Shimano Octalink BB won't work on a Raceface crank. An ISIS BB will.

I am getting a Race Face Turbine. there are two different size bb's to choose from in the SRX ISIS model. 108mm and 113mm. how do you know what size to get.

I'd suggest starting with one the same width as your Shimano unit or talk to your bike shop. Tell them the width of the bottom bracket shell and the bike brand. Best way to approach it.
