Hey Patriot and 53_11! Check it! Who'd a thunk that Ti would be used for this? (http://www.competitivecyclist.com/za/CCY?PAGE=BUY_PRODUCT_STANDARD&PRODUCT.ID=1107&CATEGORY.ID=23&MODE=)

i remember when i used to skateboard this same sort of thing was around for a set of bearings. most bearings were $10-$30 for a set.... but have a look at these (http://www.skates.com/Bones_Ceramic_7mm_bearings_p/brcwbx716.htm)

I'd have to wear it and eat it slowly for that price... and never ride either. ;)

I feel woefully inadequate with my PC-59.

My LBS has TI tire irons. 12 bucks for two, I swear they weigh less than the business card they are mounted on.

...and it'll last about long enough for you to make it to the next LBS for a good steel chain.

$340 for a chain certainly isn't my cup of tea. I wonder if the NOS 9 speed chains are half price as I don't have any 10 speed components?

Edit: That single 10 speed chain costs about the same as 26 SRAM PC-59 chains. Guessing 3000 miles per chain that would be 78,000 miles. I'll stick with my old 9 speed junk.

 ... man you guys pay a lot for dope. Thats more than double street price, and in american haha...

Seriously does anyone ride that kind of chain. I am a ghetto child I guess but I go for strong -> value -> weight

I do but I doubt anyone that reads decline magazine would invest in something so useless for a dh bike :)

I want some!

If they are the ones made by King Cage the two of them weigh less than one plastic one. And they really do work better. They are made from the same hollow tubing the cages are made from. King shows them on line.

Then you would HAVE to get two Ti cages to match !! Then the Ti bolts for the cages then.............

They match the frame perfectly slvoid !! You need them. :D

Khuon, I did a search, but came up with nothing.

Raiyn, I saw it in a catalog a while back, and was reminded of it by something (God only knows), and thought we could get some interesting comments here on the forums.

It's funny you should say that because some of the processing may seem earily similar. Additionally, coke (coal that is) is used in the initial stages.
