I did 45 instead!! More than double my usual 20 mile rides. I hit my turnaround point on the trail at 15 miles, but there was nothing of signifigance there, so I just kep going. and going. I'm so completely stoked that I did the ride! When I got home, I looked up where I had turned around and it was halfway up the entire trail! For those that don't know, the Little Miami Scenic Trail is about 70 miles long from the east side of Cincinnati to Xenia, OH. Also, I didn't start at the trail head either in case the math looks funny to you. I've always wanted to ride this entire trail, but I didn't think I'd possibly be able to do it by the end of this summer!! If I keep adding distance every week, I should be able to do just that!!!
On a side note, I don't know if I'll be able to move tommorow for a short recovery ride. :( My legs and butt are already sore.
PS: Since I hadn't planned on the extra mileage, I really started to bonk at around 40 miles. I was dizzy, and couldn't pay attention to the trail and started swerving all over. I'm glad I got back before something bad happened. Of course as soon as I got home, I showered and ate my fill at the local barbeque joint. YUMMY!! :D
