Since I've been lurking here for a while, I figured it might be time to actually start posting (the road and commuting forums have been very helpful in some ways).

I'm pretty new to the cycling scene - I just picked it up again in July although I did use a bike for short term 2-mile trips to/from school during college. What I've discovered is that it is a terrible addiction and now I can't stop myself from wanting to do it more :D ... In fact, I went out today for 'only' 30 miles and ended up doing 45.

If anyone in the Madison area knows of good club rides, drop me a PM. My goal for the year is to do the Wright Stuff Century here in the area (September) and I need to get some practice group riding in beforehand so I can handle myself in a crowd.

Try this link maybe old but will link out to more current club sites. http://danenet.wicip.org/bcp/

I just finshed the HHH the past weekend. 125+ miles of the worst/best hills in the area west of Madison.

I'll PM you, but I'll post this too in case others are interested. Hook up with Yellow Jersey on State Street in downtown Madison. They had a lot of club rides when I was in college (too long ago). Also, Wiliamson Street cycles (located on... um.... Williamson Street) may have club rides as well. Lots of good rides in Madison. Have fun and be safe!
