Originally did my right shoulder in way back in February was able to ride without much pain. Two weeks ago, lost grip in the middle of a drop and landed square on said shoulder, had a first opinion a couple of days after and it was confirmed that I tore my ant. part of my rotator cuff, but said I could still ride, but since then, each ride has been really painful. When I was back in NJ for a couple of days I had a second opinion and the doctor wanted to schedule surgery. I can take pain, but not until November, matter as well get it done now, before more damage is done.

I know you Kona don't jump the gun on riding once it's repaired. Rehab it the way they tell you to

Been there , done that...I was down like 3 months..Take rehab seriously...Insurance companies have limited patience with rehab bills.

Good luck. Don't skimp on the rehab. OH, and sitting on a stationary while watching something like Freewheel Burning is just torture.

Please be careful if you continue to ride before surgery. Don't want to make matters worse. Take care.

Hope the surgery goes well. I think enough people have already pointed out the value of sticking with rehab and the PT you'll be given, so I won't.

Have they given you a tentative timeline for recovery and when you might be back on the bike?

There is a such thing as male nurses! I really hope you're refering to the women. Kona: hopefully it isn't too long until you can get back out and ride.
