Mountain Biking - Parts Online

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
What's your favorite place to buy parts online? Best prices? Best service?

personally i have found the best prices to be from Cambria Bike outfitters. They have sales often there, i only payed $.35 per spoke for my front wheel and these are DT revolution
I find cambria's shipping rates to be a little high though. I havent had a problem with pricepoint and nashbar. I hear alfredebike is good also.

Are there any good online stores in Canada?
Read above post. Otherwise they are all super expensive.
I order most of my parts from jensonusa. Their new "market" pricing is hard to beat. If you order a bunch of stuff, $26 for shipping to Canada is pretty good for Fedex express shipping. Also you pay only 7% GST.
I also order parts from airbomb.com. They carry a lot of stuff, but sometimes it takes like a week to ship them out. They ship to Canada by USPS express, and it is usually cheaper than Jenson's shipping rate.

once shipped how do you find the pricing of jenson compared to shops in bc?
once shipped how do you find the pricing of jenson compared to shops in bc?
I built my bike with the parts I ordered from those stores, and I saved about $2000 CAD comparing to the bike shop prices here in Victoria. That's about 40% savings. Once, I went to my favorite bike shop with a price list in my hand, and the guy told me that he would loose money if he matched those prices. Well, that doesn't apply to everything though. For example I got my fork from the same bike shop for a little cheaper than online (they gave me $200 off from the list price). If you know the bike shop guys, and if they know you well, you can talk and get a better price for some parts.

Actually I just bought that elusive 12x27 Shimano cassette from this place:
www.bicyclesupply.net
Around $60 shipped. For the life of my legs I could not find this cassette anywhere local.

www.nashbar.com
always 10% off at Nashbar see:

or do a google search for nashbar coupon, in additon I find a stackable 20% off offer on occassion (sometimes it's $20 off $75 order) The stuff they have it pretty good and I would suggest them.

Nobody's mentioned eBAY yet, whatcha waitin' for? Good deals can still be had there, but you have to know what a good deal is....
QBike.com will search several of the most popular websites for you.
SuperGo is another place that's good sometimes. They've merged with Performance now.
This Forum has a great thread on current deals everyone. Here's the link in case you don't know of it yet:

We have changed the processing of buy and sell. Only donating members can buy and sell...
I use eBay and I do thorough checks of feedback, feedback left for others, ID histories, items for sale to make sure it's all legit. Asking questions before bidding and paying through Paypal (with Paypal's guarantee) helps. Too many scammers and (I only used/rode this a couple of times) people out there. But if you do your homework you can save $$$!!!

But that sub-thread listed sales at various stores/websites "found" by others like ourselves, NOT by the vendors. Like me telling everyone that Jenson USA was currently offering free s&h with code ####. What was wrong with that?

Check the affiliate links. That is still live. Just setup in a different format.
As a side note, if you ever see those promo codes forward them to me.
