Hey everyone. I am new to this forum and new to triathlon. I was wondering if anyone could give me cycling gear advice to avoid knee injuries. I have bad knees due to twelve years of soccer and am currently looking for a road/tri bike and was wondering is there was anything that I should look out for when fitting my bike with pedals, bike shoes, etc so as to avaid reinjuring myself. I was looking into clipless pedals and didn't know if one type was better than another in this respect. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering if anyone could give me cycling gear advice to avoid knee injuries. I'm working thru some "issues" with my knees right now. Here are some web sites that I'm reading:

Bike fit. Most of the knee problems do come from improper setups. Will solve your biomechanical issues, but also make you more comfortable, which translates to better bike splits. More comfort also means better run time as you didn't waste energy on the bike split.... You can't find a better $100-150 investment!
