The slope is 4% Divide hight by horizontal distance multiply by 100 and you have the slop. Don't forget, convert all distances to the same unit

most cities have dedicated bicycles lanes between car lanes and footpath. but since there are more and more private cars, the roads are getting crowded. a lot of cities change the bike lanes to car lanes. bikes now have to share the path with walkers and electric bikes. it first happend in big cities like shanghai, where bicycles are forbidden to go to some areas in downtown, then it happend in medium sized cities, now it is happening in a small city where i live now:(
the bicycles most people ride are single-speed bicycles. more and more people, especially young guys, are riding geared bicyles for sports and entertainment. on weekends, we often go to the suburb to ride. there are so many beautiful places in the suburbs! check out herehttp://0575bike.com/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=548&fpage=1
we have a lot of local bike clubs, most of them have their own bike forums like this one:) you can check out mine here: http://english.0575bike.com

correct me if I am wrong ...
the 4 % would translate into 16 degree...
as on roads the steepness is measure 45 degrees are 100 %
or was that only in Europe and in the US they use 90 degree instead...
some inteligent person might find that out for us ..please..
