Road Cycling - Speedplay Frog cleat on SPD shoe?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Will a Speedplay Frog ATB pedal cleat attach to an SPD-compatible ATB shoe?
I have comfortable Shimano ATB/touring shoes with SPD cleats.
I have left knee pain that might be attributable to my SPD pedals (or maybe the release tension is just too tight).
I'm interested in the Speedplay pedals. Will the Frog cleat attach to my shoes?
Thanks,

as long as the shoe can take the cleat then it should be fine

the answer is yes, but you may have to cut a little show tread away depending on the shoe because the cleats are a little wider than normal SPD cleats. I've bought 4 pair of cycling shoes in the last 3 years or so and 2 of them i had to cut a little tread away - just use some kind of cutting tool and it's take maybe an extra 15 minutes to mount each cleat.
i think Speedplay has been working with shoe companies on this so i think it's less and less of a problem. i bought another set of Frogs (my 4th set since i have 4 bikes and my original pedals broke after a few thousand miles of use) and included was a list of shoes for which the Frog was "out-of-box-compatible" meaning you don't have to cut it.
anyway, unless you have some weird cycling shoe that wouldn't allow you to wider the cleat space a few milimeters, then you shouldn't have any problem.
