Commuting - Back in the saddle

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I damaged my knee about... oh... 3 months ago now. It's not been bad enough to stop me riding for about the last month, but you know (I know some of you do!) when you just start making excuses? Like, I'm too tired, it's too far, I need my car tonight, etc.
Well, today I finally decided to cut the crap and get on with it. Ok, so I drove most of the way and just cycled the last 4 miles. Ok, so my speed was unimpressive. I still did it.
And I feel great! :D

The longest journey starts with a single step... - honest, somebody said that, I'm not just makng it up!
Congradulations to you for recognizing that you have been living a lie and making excuses. I hope you recover fully from the knee injury and once again become a useful member of society. :D
Good for you, Ellie! Keep it up and you'll feel better and better about yourself.

I know how that goes. I had to spend an involuntary month or two off my bike. I fell into a rut and I noticed a definite effort when pulling myself out of it.
But soon I was feeling as good as ever! :D
Way to go, Ellie!! I know it is easier to make an excuse than to push a pedal, but I also know you will be glad you chose the latter! Due to an early morning meeting, I had to cut my ride short, but it was absolutely inspiring, anyway! Hope you are back in the groove very soon!!
