Hi All, I'm new here at the Bike Forums and would really appreciate some help. Does anyone here know anything about a Peugeot Monaco? There's one at a Goodwill store and I was wondering if it's worth having. It's in great shape, looks almost brand new. Also what's the history behind it as in how old is it and how long did they make them. Thanking you in advance....Kemper

for the prices they have at the goodwill even if it's a low end model and is your size it's worth having, especially in good shape, unfortunately around me if anything is older than ten years, like a broken 80s flip digit clock the people that price them say, well old broken crap sells on *bay for $$$, then it stays on the shelf for months before either some idiot buys it because old broken crap sells on *bay for $$$, and if it's the thrift store is selling it for that much they can make 100x, or more likely it gets tossed because they don't pay for their merchandise anyway and the store gets filled with mostly garbage until they go through and toss it all to make room for more,
an old name brand bike will be better than any chinamart bike every time, and be much cooler doing it,

Yeah I used to work for goodwill and as much as I hate to admit it, Lt.Gustl hit the nail EXACTLY on the head. Except for its less likely its the line workers pricing things and more likley the managers telling them what to price them at. The managers ok almost 100% of the stuff that ends up on the floor and all too often they would have me put $35 on a monochrome tandy monitor from 1986 and $50 on huffys from the early 90's. All in all donate to local charities as your **** will more than likely end up in the compactor at goodwill anyway.
Well I bought the Peugeot. It was $30. I thought it would be more. It rides really smooth and is pretty light.
