Not having ever been into competitive cycling (except racing the neighbourhood kids around the block :p ) I have no idea what a brevet, a stage, or a time trial is but I'd like to learn.... can anyone point me towards a website or two that explain these and other competitive cycling related things? thanks.

www.google.com

I checked out that site but they didn't have anything on competitive cycling, only a search facility. :p

Seriously tho, 'competitive cycling' yields 1,290,000 hits, I was just hoping you guys would point me to the cream of the crop.
