i'm about to buy a mountian bike and i need a little help. i'm stuck on two bikes, the fuji thrill and the giant iguana. i need a little advice, which should i get?

Have you ridden both? If so then go with the one that handles best.

Also, do a side-by-side comparo of the components and go with the one which gives you more.

Feel trumps components most of the time (same pricepoint). It's like 80/20 in my book weighted towards feel

Agreed. You can always upgrade a derailleur. Not so easy to change frame angles which is key to ergonomics.

go with what fits. With that said, I have a 01' Fuji Thrill that is still rock solid with stock deore componants. That bike is built like a tank built doesn't weigh like one. Just lube it and ride. It has about 10k miles on it and can go for another 10k w/o a prob.

I have a new Iguana and this bike rides really well. The only downside of this model is the crappy disc brakes but it's great for the price.

i got an '03 iguana

Its great, super light frame thats very strong also, it fits me perfectly (5'10" 125 lbs.) on the 17" frame

go with what fits the best

The Igauna is a nice frame. It has the same geometry as Giant's XC race HT (XTC).
