Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Modolo stems- any problems?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. This is the one I'm most interested in buying, 100mm, possibly for pairing with a steel track bar (newb question: is there any stress problem caused by a track (steel) bar/road stem combo? Thanks).

Just watch out on clamp diameter compatibility. Some [most?] track bars are 25.4mm, and you stem is 26.0mm, a difference of .6mm, which can be solved with a coke/beer can shim, or buying a $10 nitto shim.
Thanks for the replies. The bar I have (in transit) is a Deda Pista from BianchiUSA's website store. The clamp diameter is 26.0mm (not Deda's usual 31.7 or whatever- they must have made these for the cheaper stems on the Pista), so I'm fine with that stem. I just wanted to make sure there was no problem with track/road compatibility, and that no one here had any issues with the stem's quality.

my friend got one of those stems and had the bar clamp bolt strip on him almost immeadietly. he was even using a torque wrench. it was the head that stripped, not the threads. He says it rides fine, but he'll never get those bars out.
