I am looking at possibly purchasing this bike which is in fairly good shape , from a friend . This would be our backup tandem and also be used to allow other couples to be able to ride with us and discover the fun of riding together.
Does anyone have any knowledge about this bike ? It looks like they are no longer sold in the US,
We road it last night and it rides very nicely .
It is mid to low range as far as components go . However the frame (cromoly) seems good , although seems to squirm a little when I (@200#) stand and mash the cranks . Not as crisp as our aluminum C'dale .
Any thoughts ?

There is a list member who only posted to the forum once that owned a Miyata DC; this is his posting and it includes a link to his Web site with a little info on the bike:

Miyata is now teamed with Koga of the Netherlands dba Koga-Miyata, and has a limited presense in the US: http://usa.koga.com/. Koga-Miyata is a European-Japanese collaboration that sits at the high end of the production bike range in Europe.

Thanks Mark for your reply . I will check the site out .
I went ahead and purchased the bike. To my surprise it has a 135mm rear spacing (26" wheels) and I have Moutain bike wheels laying around so I can set up several combinations for this bike .
