I have noticed something strange.

Sometimes during the week, I wake up early and ride for an hour before work. On the days that I do this, I usually end up urinating much more frequently and with more volume than usual. Like every hour or so until lunch time, and each time it's with a full bladder.

When I ride in the afternoons, or on days that I don't ride, I'm on what I consider a more normal schedule (every 2-3 hours).

Why does a morning ride cause this phenomena?

This is the only possibility I can think of:

Each molecule of glycogen in your muscles is bonded with three of water. If you use the glycogen, the water is released and has to go somewhere. If you're not sweating hard enough to lose it that way, you'll pee it out.

And, er ... this doesn't happen in the afternoons because it's warmer and you sweat more?

Bet you I'm wrong

Could be. Where I live it's usually 70-80 F in the mornings and 90-100 F in the afternoons.

I wonder if I am retaining a lot of water during the night for some reason?

See a doctor as soon as possible...

I think you're pregnant.

How much are you drinking on your morning ride?

I usually have 1 or 2 glasses of water when I wake up and then I drink a 24 oz bottle full of Gatorade during the ride.

Ever heard of Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC)?

EPOC (http://www.drlenkravitz.com/Articles/epocarticle.html)

This is pretty informative.
