Sometimes I might just be rolling around on my bike on a hot day, having a very easy ride, and I don't always feel like gulping down wads of sucrose, glucose, dextrose, or whatever, but I like to keep up my intake of sodium, potassium, and maybe calcium and magnesium.

Any drinks or powders that just have electrolytes?

Orange Juice has more of em than Gatorade. If you can figure out a way to keep it cold, let me know :)

Edit: Sorry, didn't read your post well enough. Can't speak out of experience, but I believe gatorade had flavorless waters that have electrolytes in em.

If i'm wrong, someone feel free to make me look dumb :p

Emergen-C jumps to mind.

Have you tried Clif Shot? 8% carb solution with caffeine. Doesn't leave your mouth quite as gummy feeling as liquid crack (gatorade). Emergen-C is an interesting recommendation. It's effervescent. I'm not sure if that really affects delivery or not. Works great for warding off a cold.

Emergen-C jumps to mind.

14 cal
0 Protien
3.5g Carbs
60mg Magnesium
60mg sodium
200mg Potassium
50mg calcium

This stuff ain't too bad, probibly personal preference though. I have tried about 5-6 different flavours, I love half of them & hate the other half.

We get Emergen-C Lite, which has 0 calories.

A gram of C is a lot though. Gives me the toots if I take it too often.

There's Smartwater, but it doesn't list amounts of electrolytes, and of these it does not add sodium chloride. It does have calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, and potassium bicarbonate.

I've started taking Succeed capsules with water to supplement during longer rides. You can also use Endurolytes (capsule or powder) to do the same thing. They do have different ingredients, but have no calories.

Just take Endurolyte caps with plain water !

0 calories, tons of electrolytes

Pedialyte!

I swear by it to cure hangovers, and I had some with me last weekend to help recover quickly.

I asked the same question here and got no advice, so I did a search on my own. Got this from a body building website.

Out of all the flavours (5-6) I have tried, only 1 was effervesent. This one was just a type of Emerg-C. It was called Effer-C.

I use this stuff. Very easy to get used to and once you are accustomed to it it really does seem flavorless. It is great for those of us that don't like sweet drinks while we ride.

E-caps are good too.
