What do you guys think about this bike? I fould this slightly used bike for sale. Here's the detail: The is a size medium 18" and the bike is literally as close to new at they come. It was only ridden about 25 miles since purchased new as is still in like new condition and in perfect mechanical condition. I bought it new at Garner Cyclery for about $1000.00 and rode my Litespeed instead. It has a XT rear derailler, LX front derailler, White Industries front Hub, Shimanoo XT rear hub, Avid V brakes and levers 1.9L, Shimano Forged Strongarm cranks, XT 24 speed cassette, LX Rapid Fire shifters, Manitou XS front shock, Richey SPD clipless pedals (also have standard pedals). Ritchey post, Specialized Saddle, Specialized Stem, Specialized grips. Bike weighs around 24 lbs is easy to ride, climbs big hills easily and is in perfect condition.
The guy is asking only $300. Good deal?

If it really is in perfect condition and never has been used I would say $300 is ok.
I would do it, given it was the right size and everthing

I have a Stumpjumper Pro that started as a 1998 (the orange one) and became a 2004 (white one) when the frame broke. It's a great bike which climbs well and rides a bit stiff for this old guy. I still have it and use it, just not in the mountains (Have a 2005 Stumpy FSR for that :D ) Inspect the bike before you buy it paying particular attention to the chainstay tubes near the bottom bracket where they transition from round to oval tubes. My '98 broke at that transition as have other '98 I've read about. I think they fixed the problem by 1999. Other than that, and especially with the claimed low mileage, this is a great bike!
