I couldn't agree more! :D I didn't really expect Lance to come out like that in the prologue, but I am very pleased. I am disappointed that Jan Ulrich, and Marco Pantani are missing. They both add some zing to the tour. Also, Jalabert's #2 ride was pretty darn exciting too. This is going to be a great year to watch the Tour. GO LANCE !

have to keep awake, because I just came from an overnight work and just wake up to watch the Prologue have to keep awake by drinking lots of coffee, and Lance was simply "amazing"

Lance had a superb day on Saturday but I must say that the gutsiest performance of the race so far has to go to Thor Hushvold. Simply amazing to watch the guy go through obvious pain simply to get to the finish. I just hope that the guy recovers in time to start today
I thought his breakaway companions bottled it a bit in the end. Chavenal and Berges still had over a minute lead when the were visably seen to through it the towel and pull up. they had another go when Voigt came past but didn't last long. This is the TDF and how often do you get an opportunity to win a stage on that. The pair should have burried themselves
TdF rules question: Do all prime sprints confer bonus time to their winners (in addition to sprint points)? Ditto, do all stage wins confer bonus seconds? If so, what is the breakdown? If not, how does one know which stages/primes give extra time? Similarly, do mountain points also give bonus time?
Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Jamie

You generally find that you only get time bonuses for sprints in the first week. This gives the sprinters a chance of yellow jerseys early on before we hit the big mountains.
As far as I am aware, mountains do not offer time bonuses.
