Howdy,
I used to be a member here but somehow all of my stuff has disapeared.
I'm a 46 year old mechanical designer, I live in Salt Lake City. I commute 28 miles round trip to work everyday, or ride 20 miles at lunch with xray and some other guys.
I'm a fat tire freak form the early 80's my current MTB is an 03 Kona Dawg-Deelux. Last fall under conciderable pressure from un-named sources I bought an 04 Raliegh Competition. So now I spend about 90% of my ride time on a pizza cutter and 10% on a fat tire.
At present my average speed over 18mph based upon ~800 logged miles.

Welcome ... Now share with us how you've managed to log 800 miles in a total of 4 sunny days all year :P

Howdy,
We rode from the International Center to the Saltaire marina every work day (20 mile round trip) in January plus a few rides to Copperton and such. Lets just say we got real good at cold weather gear. The coldest day was 19f. Then I got sent to Texas in Feb. it was a bit nicer there. Now I'm back in SLC and the weather is perfect.

Welcome to BF.

Glad to hear you're ending your affair with the mtn bike. They'll lead you over to the dark side. ;)

Where is the International Center? I am from Salt Lake and am not sure where you are talking about.
