Yesterday, I was at around the beginning of my sixth mile when all of a sudden, I fell into a sride or a rhythm if you will. It's kind of hard to describe, but my mph went up by about 2 (I was not on a down hill grade) my cadence obviously went up and my breathing became almost effortless. I think I could have gone anothe hundred miles at that point. I ended up doing 25 and it seemed like an almost effortless ride. I roared up hills and it felt like I was slicing through headwinds.

I rode again this afternoon right after work and the same feeling came over me at mile 6. My average for this route (which is 11 miles) is normally 14.9 (hilly) Today, I came in at 15.7.

Am I nuts or did I reach some kind of nirvana? It was almost like a high.

I get that feeling sometimes, but then the wind usually turns so I'm heading into it again.

You're getting stronger. Now you know what your warm up is and can now pick things up.
