The Weekly Dig just put out an article about Adam Ford. Apparently, this guy is pretty fast ;) Check it out:
Adam Ford (http://www.weeklydig.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/article.view/issueID/5a1a67f7-e730-4c9a-95a7-5af70172379f/articleID/fd969dda-2605-4d40-8ba2-6f2f5b0c4747/nodeID/8ea67746-b4d9-4901-88ec-65210e243151)
he is fast and a nice guy too. but he didnt win.. sorry..
he has won before tho..
i think adam got the sprints, but to rightfully say "i won" you have to nail the mainrace. and that one got away..
anyway. to truly be able to say- i conqured the cmwc -you have to organize one.. then you are truly a champ in my book..
AND THE WINNER IS: Nick Labdau from SF..
see this.

what do they mean by "track?" in the result table? is it if they used an actual track bike? just a fixed gear? if the former, i don't really really see why they make the distinction. if the latter, i'm really surprised to see so many geared bastards on the board. weak.

Pretty much sums it up:
"Clear something up for us: Can bikes and cars can ever peaceably co-exist?
Oh sure. Absolutely. It has nothing to do with bikes and cars, or pedestrians. It has to do with the fact that most people in most situations do the wrong thing. And basically people kind of look for conflict, because most people out there are pretty unhappy. They'll generally not avoid the chance to inflict their will on another person. People just aren't very nice to one another. I almost feel sorry for these suckers."

I just did the german bike messenger championships and I was one of like 10 racers on a track bike. Other guys there just had their track bikes for the track specific events and raced on their geared rides. I donīt care how fast you think track bikes are but a properly ridden multiple geared bike is almost always faster. If you look at the majority of championship race winners they are on road bikes. And what makes them bastards?
oh yah boston riders are the best!!! hahah I canīt wait to get back! only one month left.

Why? A screwdriver's not the right tool for every job. Sometimes you need a hammer.
