BMX - Need Help Rebuilding a Front Hub

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Front hub completely undid itself and all 24 bearings dropped out... I've got a new set of bearings and have rebuilt the hub. 1 end of the spindle's fine but tightening up the lock nut on the other end turns the inner race and locks up the whole hub... Any ideas wat i'm doing wrong and how i get it right???
Thanks in advance 4 any help...

my guess is you need an axle vise to make that final bearing adjustment.

get somthin to hold the other side ov the axel (an axel vise or sometthing else that wont ruin your threads) so that you can tigheten it up perfect

No, just get a new hub (specifically, one with sealed bearing as opposed to looseball) and spokes. There's probably nothing wrong with the rim.

the hub he has is unsealed and is worth like 5 bucks. unsealed bearings are a ***** to maintain because they need to be greased so often. that rim is probably a single wall anyway, so if he gets a new hub he would need to relace the rim. if he knows how to build wheels, it might be worth the time, but if he gets it done at the bikeshop, it might not be worth the money he's paying

It's an Alex rim, so more likely than not it's at least a double wall.
