Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

For the price you don't get very good components.

Compared to what. Brodie is a good company, I live around the northshore -Brodie is ridden,
...i'm not showing up at Whistler on a Trek.
Klien, Brodie, Fisher, Ritchey, Fat Chance -old school. Brodie and others did not progress like Kona did.
Rockey Mountain, Norco etc.
http://www.firstflightbikes.com/atb.htm Brodie I think is not linked, but old company.

Probably nothing actually. I wasn't of even thinking of that fact that it was a freeride bike. My mistake.

The shop I worked at over a decade ago sold brodies, back when they were part of "the bicycle group" along with kona and merlin.
I remember brodies as being nice fairly light handbuilt steel frames. Judging from their website, they got sick of that sort of thing. Shame, really.

I know, that is why I said that ;)
I almost bout their 8-Ball a few years ago. Only the frame though and they were going to charge my <1000$ . They are also customer friendly and easy to talk with. Some of the parts on a full build from them are not the best but their frames do hold up well.
