I'm looking for "classic" CX clincher tires, black with brown sidewalls. Preferably 32 or 35 mm. Can't find them anywere. All I can find is black, black, black and black. Any ideas?

You've been looking at pictures of cross bikes with tubular tires. I assume you don't want to shell out for these ($200+ dugast tires anyone? anyone?) I have a pair of Specialized tri-cross that I found last year on Ebay with brown sidewalls, but I dont know if they still make them. Schwalbe maybe? Their road tires have brown sidewalls. I feel your pain, bro. My banana yellow tufos and minty green michelins are just heinous. Mix them front and back with my red frame and I wanna barf-

Well, I don't mind about the price of Dugast tires but I don't use tubulars. I tried Specialized, Schwalbe, Continental, Michelin, etc., etc., but they're all black these days.

Looks like they only have the skinny ones available. I thought I have seen them in 32's somewhere.

Well, he wanted classic- skinny is classic! Actually skinny tires work pretty well in heavy mud, cut through easier- try it sometime.

Very true, skinny is classic.

We have some rough courses here in the NW though & its 32 or 34 Grifo's for me. I did score a few old Clement 30's over the winter & plan on trying them in the real muddy races this fall.

Cool. That Vredestein looks very interesting. Did anybody here use them?
