I rode in a 65 mile tour on the north shore of L.I. yesterday - very hilly. About half way through, I felt some pain in my left knee; not unbearable, and I was able to finish the ride. Today it's still a little sore. My new Bianchi came with Ritchey Logic pedals, prior to that I rode with toe-clips. I have a couple of questions:
Can the float on the Ritchey pedals be adjusted? I see adjusting screws on the front and back of the pedal, but they appear to be for the release tension. Also, I'm debating replacing the Ritchey's for Speedplay Frogs (I'd like to be able to walk in the shoe). I've heard good feedback on the Frogs for road use, but are they compatible with any road shoes, or do I have to use an MTB shoe?

it may not be the float in the pedal. It could be the fact that your foot is not on the same angle as it was when you had toe clips. With toe clips, your foot was more relazed as it wasnt't locked. Play around with the cleat on your shoe until your leg is comfortable. Adjust it so it your foot would be positioned like it was on the toe clips.
