Hey guys
I have the oppurtunity to pick up a mostly original 59 Schwinn Traveler for $30. It's currently missing the rear bag and a tire, but everything else is there (decals, correct pedals, generator with head and taillight, etc). I'd enjoy getting it back to roadworthy condition, just wanted to know if $30 is too high. It's a 3-speed, if that matters any. Thanks for your responses in advance.

Heck, no -- go grab it! Have you seen what old Schwinns like that sell for? Even if you end up not restoring it, you can part it out and get your money back -- and then some.

Personally, I have paid as much as $75 for bikes like that, but then, I really like them(nostalgia thing, it was my pre-adolescence bike). Only you can decide what the bike is worth to you. I'd buy it in a New York second.

Thanks guys. I'll hopefully be bringing it home today. I'll post pics when I can get them uploaded.
