A few weeks back, the band I'm in played a gig at SK Net Cafe in Charlotte, NC. Normally the crowds are pretty small there but this time they were showing a locally produced horror movie and a larger crowd was present, many dressed up like Zombies or some other ghoulish character.
Anyway while standing out front, I notice a few folks ride up on bikes, then a couple more. Before I know it, there are about ten bikes chained up along a railing.
Several of the other bands joined in with the Zombie theme and worked the crowd to their advantage. Well we were just wearing what we normally wear so I decided to dedicate our set to the brave men and women who chose to ride their bikes to the show. At first there was a look of confusion but then I heard those people hooting it up and I even saw one guy lift his helmet like it was a cigarette lighter or something.
The zombies seemed confused by all the fuss and we didn't waste anymore time before continuing with our set.
