Mountain Biking - marzocchi mz comps

are my brand new marzocchi mz comps good shocks. they are coil shocks adjustable from 75 to 100 mm. of travel. keep in mind these are the only shocks on the bike since i ride a hardtail. they seem ok to me and i know marzocchi as a good brand. just makin sure. Thanx

They are not all that bad, not top of the line, but generally will do.

They arent great, but arent bad(RST). They dont have travel adjust. The little knobs on top adjust preload, which allows you to set it slightly firmer, or softer. The thing that makes it cheap is the lack of a damper.

marzocchis are great forks, but the mz is low end

the type of riding i am doing is light to medium trail riding and i only weigh about 145 lbs. and am 5 ft. 5 in.

as long as your not jumping its pretty good.

No they arn't. It's not adjustable for travel, it just makes the thing a little bit stiffer, hardly noticeable. I accidentally turned mine to tight, and the adjuster got jammed, but I can barely tell the difference anyway. Lube them up with some kind of grease and they work much much better.

should i lube the coils or the little switchs on top?

haha i realize this is a stupid question, but im not too smart, and i dont want to screw anything up.
