Mountain Biking - Magura Forks

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I was checking out Magura's site, looking at their brake offerings. And saw their line of suspension forks. They seem kind of nice. I see no mention of them at mtbr.com however, and haven't been able to find much about these forks. Has anyone used these, or know of people who have, and whether or not they are any good?
I am particularly liking the Phaon. There isn't really a direct link on the site, frames and all.
but they are on the front page at http://www.magura.com

I think there are more of them in Europe. I remember reading a thread asking the same question on Ridemonkey.com, or forums.mtbr.com
Good luck getting one over here.
Go to cosmopolitan motors, do a google for them, they used to stock magura bike parts.

It makes a change for something to be easier to get hold of in the UK than in US/Canada. Its just a shame that our prices continue to be so high when compared to you guys.

I did find them, but I can only find motorcycle parts, and nothing by magura. Oh well. Maybe I can convince a european bike outlet to ship one to me. Or maybe I will get the Fox Vanilla I've Had my eyes on.

I've been in contact with the factory. They were willing to sell direct to me. They have a factory in Illinois. Email them.

I have heard a lot of good things about them and they seem to get good reviews in the bike mags...unfortunately i have long since lost most of my faith in the reviews in most mags... I'd love to try one out but alas i have yet to actually lay eyes on one.

They are sold in europe. I have Magura/Rond air fork on my MTB. I believe it is a 2000 model, it was NOS-just put it my bike in the spring. Judging from the quality and performance of this fork, I would think the newer ones should be quite nice. This particular for is very light, somewhere around 3 lb, and is nice and stiff with one piece sliders and oversized aluminum stantions. I pumped it once up when I got it, and it hasn't lost much if any air pressure since. I'm pretty happy with it-but it sure is ugly.
