I've just gone through a complete bicycle fitting on my road bike and after several weeks of riding, I have to say it is the best investment I've made in my cycling. Its eliminated my backaches, numbness in the toes and seat, and no sensitivity in my wrists.

The fitter is a Kinesthesiology/Medical student who just happens to be a bike racer/enthusiast. I found him through a referral from another cyclist. My fitting was done over a series of three sessions. This included pedal/cleat adjustements, seat angle and height, handlebar positions, arm positioning, and shifter/hood positioning. Adjustements were made in small increments and some hardware recommendations were made along the way. Then I was required to spend a few weeks riding before coming back to the next session and reevaluating the changes. Its made a drastic difference in my riding comfort. I just did a 4000' road climb without any discomfort.

Ill be doing the same on my mountain bike very soon.

I asked his permission to post in this forum. If you are interested and live in Southern California, send me a private message or email me at my Yahoo address: LNORIEL2000

I'll forward you his contact information.
