Tenth anniversary edition, a rough cut but worth the watch. Best fartless movie ever made for people that arn't supposed to be there today.

how's it different?
I loved Dogma!
Mallrats was good.
I own Jay and Silent Bob strikes Back.
Chasing amy was really good.
Clerks was the olny movie of Kevin Smiths I didn't get into.
I don't know if it was just to much of a Guy movie or what, I just didn't find it funny.
Everyone I know loves this movie, except me.

I really don't like this movie. And I love Dogma and Mallrats. I think it's because of the mood I was in when I first watched it, and the bad memories associated with it. Or maybe it's just not as good as people make it out to be.

The edit is different, limited sound track, video and dialogue track are a little muddy. If you like Smith it is worth the watch. I like this the best of his movies. I prefer the release edit but this was good. I find this one to be better than MallRats, there was to big a budget for the scope of that movie.

The whiny protagonist is too friggin annoying, its hard to sit through the entire movie. "And I'm not even supposed to be at work today..." Poor boy. Grow a ball and do something about it.
Chasing Amy is one of my favorite films. Mallrats was Ben Affleck's finest film ever. I had the biggest crush on Jason Lee until he started doing big hollywood movies.

Ditto on Chasing Amy.
I loved Clerks back in the day, and I'll even admit (with mild embarassment) that I own the Clerks animated series on DVD, and I watch it. I'm looking forward to seeing what that special edition Clerks has to offer when I rent it someday, but I already shelled out the cash for the "normal" version, and I'm far too financially challenged to go buy another version. I wish we consumers could be told well in advance to save our money and wait for special editions.

How did I get into this thread this late !!??!!
These are some of my fav-0 flix ! I love clerks !
Two years ago a wacko motorcycle friend arranged a tour whereas we
would ride all over the nether regions of Jersey to see the actual places
where some of this stuff took place. A little too much free time ? :p
Some people are offended by Dogma but I thought it was great and the underlying
message about religious zealotism was not offensive at all.
I thought J & SB Strike back was an effort to go totally commercial but still funny
nonetheless.......
Now Im going to have to watch them this weekend !

Yep.
J & SB strikes back was hilarious. There is no Shermer, Illinois AARRGGGHHHH!!
I loved how they tied everybody in at the end, at the movie premier. They even mention the dead guy in Clerks.
Dogma was so spot on, and written by a catholic. I'd have to say, highlight is Alan Rickman & Chris Rock
"Know him? The Brother owes me money"
I'll watch anything with Alan Rickman in it. Galaxy Quest is great. "Its always about you, isn't it".
Off Topic - Anybody else notice "Little Tim" when Tim Allen is looking for his shoes?

Kevin Smith dated a girl I worked with and who lived around the corner from me. It was funny he hit on her and she had no idea who he was I was like you are a moron. She though his I make movie thing was a line. He's cool dude and if you like his movies you should check out An Evening with Kevin Smith, friggin hilarious.
