Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Im about 5'6/5'7 and my XC/commuter bike is 18, and the seat is raised on it. My DJ/urban bike is about 15.5 (smaller is better for jumping). The bike should fit you fine for XC, a larger frame is better for getting more pedalstrokes and using less energy to go faster.

Well this is all perspective. But that too big, at least from what I ride. I am 6'5 and sometimes a 19" bike to big :)
